Alan E. Miner, 68, of Lexington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, June 18, 2015. Alan was born on April 23, 1947, in Salem, OH, to Eugene R. and June E. (Pasco) Miner. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, and enjoyed listening to Christian music, especially Southern Gospel and jazz, spending time at Long Boat Key in FL, and reading, with Charles Stanley being one of his favorite authors. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Richards) Miner, whom he married on January 29, 1983; and many other loving family members including grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 N. Stewart Rd. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Kurtz officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Ohio Western Reserve, Rittman, OH.
