Allen D Combs

Allen D. Combs, 60, of Loudonville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Friday, January 29, 2016.Allen was born on March 18, 1955, in Wooster, to William J. "Shakey" and Betty L. (Franks) Combs. He was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, and was Ohio Coordinator for the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry. Allen loved his Lord, and 17 years ago surrendered to full time ministry. He was a very kind, gentle, selfless, and loving person, who was so thankful for what Christ Jesus had done in his life, that he shared the message of salvation to everyone, and looked forward to preaching in the prisons, to those who needed a Savior. In his earlier years, he owned and managed the Great Mohican Indian Powwow in Loudonville. Allen loved his wife and his family, and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be missed not only by his family, but also by his friends. He married his sweetheart, Holly (Roberts) Combs, on June 19, 2004, and she survives him. Allen is also survived by six siblings, Gary (Bobbie) Combs, John (Deb) Combs, Ed (Mill) Whitman, Karen (Eric) Rooks, Cindy Whitman, and Shelly (Jim) Vickers; and numerous nieces and nephewsAllen was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Sharon Combs; and nephew, Tyler Riffle.Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 N. Stewart Rd, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at the church at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Mike Van Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.
