Barbara Ann Sieving

Barbara A. (Welly) Sieving, 74, of Bellville, fell asleep in death on Saturday, September 3, 2016 surrounded by her family.Barbara was born on May 17, 1942 in Wooster, to Francis and Mary (Hentges) Welly. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1972. She enjoyed teaching others the Bible, especially teaching her children about our creator. Barbara loved her family and was known as Grandma Barb or mom, to her children's friends and grandchildren's friends. She was a very hard worker, and helped her husband with their farm. She taught her children to work alongside her, while her husband taught in the Lucas School District, and served his country in the Army Reserve. Barbara was proud to be a farm wife, and made wonderful meals. She is survived by her husband Robert F. Sieving, with whom she married on June 25, 1960; five children, Robert P. Sieving, David (Barbie) Sieving, Beth (Jeff) Kern, Mark A. (Joy) Sieving, and Daniel (Emily) Sieving; 23 grandchildren, Kaylee Sieving, Caleb Sieving, Andrew Sieving, Mikayla Chew, Jessika (Adam) Lawless, Kelsey (Matt) George, Jacob Sieving, Joseph Sieving, Isaac Sieving, Isaiah Kern, Carmen Vargas, Jonah Kern, Olivia Vargas, Mark R. Sieving, Heidi Sieving, Hilda Sieving, Malachi Sieving, Haley Sieving, Gabe Sieving, Wyatt Sieving, Abby Sieving, and Alex Sieving; three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Sieving, Malakai Lawless, and Dani-Rae George; two sisters, Patricia Hardy and Shirley (Larry) Price: one sister-in-law, Kay Welly; and one brother-in-law, Charles (Kathleen) Sieving.Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Paul (Hilda) Sieving; one grandson, Isaiah Sieving; one brother, Frederick Welly; and one brother-in-law, Bill Hardy.Calling hours will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016, and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the funeral home, with Barbara and Robert's son, Mark, officiating.
