Carol A. (VanHorne) Esterline

Carol A. (VanHorne) Esterline, 74, of Mansfield, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 while in the care of Mifflin Care Center. Carol was born January 1, 1940 in Crawford County, Ohio to Charles Wesley and Dorothy VanHorne. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Lucas. Carol loved cooking, spending time with her family, being a grandma, canning, and attending the Richland Co. Fair. Carol is survived by two sons, Thomas (Brenda) Esterline of Lucas and James (Glenda) Esterline of Shiloh; five grandsons, Justin (Heidi) Esterline, David (Bethany) Esterline, Travis (Sally) Esterline, Jacob (Hailey) Hergatt, and Joshua Hergatt; four granddaughters, Sarah (Josh) Tatum, Shannon Moreo, Kayla Moreo, and Summer Stantz; seven great-grandchildren, Jenna, Carson, Sheldyn, Vada, Ellie, Jordan, and one due in October; one sister, Pauline Smith of Bay City, MI; one brother, Bill Van Horne of North Robinson, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Jack Esterline, Carol was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy VanHorne, Don VanHorne, Paul VanHorne, and Jerry VanHorne; and one sister, Helen McKee. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. August 2, 2014 at First Wesleyan Church, 1908 Park Avenue West, Mansfield with Pastor Keith Carlisle officiating.
