Charles E. Artrip, 63, of Mansfield, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 30, 2017.Charles was born May 25, 1954 in Mansfield, the son of Charles and Helen Norma-Jean (Knipp) Artrip. He enjoyed making jokes, playing guitars, singing sons, watching Nascar racing, and spending time with his grandkids.He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Diane (Zickefoose) Artrip; two sons, Charles G. (Amber Chapman) Artrip and Jason M. (Rachal) Artrip; two daughters, Norma (Chad Montgomery) Artrip-Freeman and Susan (Timothy "Cupcake" Bush) Artrip; seven grandchildren, Joseph Hutzelman Artrip, Michael, Isaiah, Jordon, and Daniel Artrip Freeman, Brianna and Jayden Artrip; son-in-law, Michael E. Freeman and self-adopted daughter, Michelle Iley; two sisters, Patricia (Mike) Litteral and Susan (Ed) Musick; in-laws, John Walton, Daryl (Jeanie) Zickefoose, Dennis Zickefoose, and Darlene Miller; and many nieces and nephews.Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debra Walton; two nephews, Brian and Jacob; and two brothers-in-law, Danny Zickefoose and Bob Miller.A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Woodville Grace Brethren Church, 580 Woodville Road, Mansfield, OH 44907Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd. is assisting the family with the arrangements.
