David D Ison

David D. Ison, 57, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. David was born on January 20, 1957, in Mansfield to James W. and Mildred K. (Holbrook) Ison. He worked for many years at Westinghouse and was a long time employee of Crane Plumbing. He was a very family oriented man and loved to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed working on cars, especially his 1966 Buick Skylark GS, watching UFC/ Chuck Liddell and eating Leaning Tower subs and Reese cups with his sons, going on road trips, and spending the day at Cedar Point. He is survived by his Mother, Mildred Ison of Mansfield; his wife, Tenna Ison of Mansfield; four children, Chandra Ison, Matthew (Dramelia) Ison, Cody (Lauren) Ison, and Brandon (Samantha) Ison all of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Cameron, Lilianna, and Scarlett Ison; three sisters, Debbie (Dean) Sparks, Rose (John) Oakley, and Lisa (Sonny) Carter all of Mansfield; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Melissa) Salyers and Rob (Janet) Salyers all of Mansfield; and one sister-in-law, Nancy (Ray) Roman of Mansfield. David was preceded in death by his father; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Anna Salyers. Calling hours will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
