Eva "Linda" Frietchen

Eva "Linda" (Sunderland) Frietchen, 67, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 02, 2015, following a lengthy illness. Linda was born on November 19, 1947, in Hixson, TN, to Verlin Sr. and Margaret (Delashmitt) Sunderland. She married her sweetheart, Dennis Frietchen, on June 12, 1964, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2014. She was an active member of First Assembly of God, where she was involved in Women's Ministries in a leadership capacity, participated as a Missionette Leader, and sang in the Choir. Linda babysat for many family and friends over the years and was known as an excellent cook, with her wonderful southern cooking. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and was an avid cryptogram puzzle solver. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Frietchen; two daughters, Ellen (Dave) Ramey and Rachel Stephens and her fiancé, Todd Troyer, all of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Beth Diebert, John Stephens, Seth (Whitneigh) Stephens, Michael Ramey, and Katie Ramey and her fiancé, Daniel Hale; five great-grandchildren, Liberty, Trinity, Glenn, Devin, and Marshall; and three siblings, Carolyn (Carl) Worthington of Greenwich, and Margie (Chuck) Gruber and Verlin (Diane) Sunderland Jr, all of Mansfield. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter, Rebecca Lynn Frietchen; and two sisters, Pat Hershiser and infant sister Ellen Verlene Sunderland. Calling hours will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor Brent Salyers officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
