Florence V Smalley

Florence V. (Blank) Smalley, 85, of Lexington, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Sunday, September 14, 2014, following a lengthy illness. Florence was born on July 12, 1929, in Dickenson, ND, to Simon A. and Mary A. (Ehrmantraut) Blank. She loved her family very much. She was a member of First Assembly of God. For many years she was an active member, and involved with her church. She was also a wonderful baker. She is survived by three children, H. Bud (Ann) Smalley of Pocatello, ID, and Peggy J. Day and Rose M. (Jim) Porritt both of Mansfield; four grandchildren, James Mettler of FL, and Michelle Milward, Christine Smalley, and Katie Smalley all of ID; two step-grandchildren, Charlie Porritt of FL, and Heather Porritt of CA; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Milward and Nathan Milward, both of ID; one step-great-grandchild, Dominick Porritt of FL; and four siblings, Debbie Fancher, Orville Blank, and Donald Blank all of Mansfield, and Joyce Gleason of Butler. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Harvey Blank, Rose Mary Blank, Doris Reed, Charley Blank, Luke Simon Blank, and Loraine Buchanan; and son-in-law, Paul Day. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at First Assembly of God, 1000 McPherson St. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Thomas Blair officiating.
