Lyvonna A. Thompson

Lyvonna A. Thompson, 78, of Vanceburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Lyvonna was born on July 12, 1936, in Olive Hill, KY, to John H. and Mary L. (Viars) Thompson. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and worked for many years as a nurse's aide. She was a Holiness Pentecostal. She is survived by three daughters, Eleanor (Rod) Harvey, Regina (Don) Dixon and Angela (Leroy)Mota; five sons, Tony Thompson, Louis (Jennifer) Garcia, Larry (Brenda) Abrams, Luke (Cindy) Abrams, and John (Lucy) Garcia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margie McMannon, Angel (James) Owens, Nancy Thompson and Naomi (Bill) Knox; and seven brothers, Roy Thompson, John (Chris) Thompson, Carl (Marlynn)Thompson, Arnold (Nancy)Thompson, Ronnie (Brenda) Thompson, Donnie (Ruth) Thompson, and Garland (Pat) Thompson. Lyvonna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Garcia; son, Garland Abrams; two sisters, Tonie Brown and Eunice Thompson; and four brothers, Joseph Thompson, Ernest Thompson, Clyde Thompson, and Robert Thompson. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield.
