Marlin Merle "Bub" Warner, 85, of Lucas, was born on September 26, 1931 in Montpelier, OH, and he quietly entered into the Gates of Heaven on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, being greeted by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Moving to Lucas, OH in 1942, he remained until his marriage to the love of his life, Callie L. Michael in 1960, until her death in 2004. He worked at the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company from 1950 to 1978, briefly leaving to serve his country from 1951 to 1953, in the Korean War, with an Honorable Discharge. He worked several jobs until his retirement in 2005. He was a faithful father to Rosemary (Roger) Seiter of Mansfield, Sussan Warner of Lucas, and Marlin Warner of Lucas. He was also a faithful grandpaw to Darrin Furlong, Grayson Furlong, George Wilson, Kelia Wilson, Michael Rinehart and Jessie Warner; great-grandpaw to Kevean Hunter, Alisa Wilson, Serenity Williams, Matthew Wilson, Robbie Fransis, and Kharma Wilson. Also to honor his memory are his brother, E. Jimmy Warner of Mansfield; his special friend, Donna Philips, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Howard and Mary Michael; sisters, Romonna Lynn Warner, Rondabelle Warner, M. Imogene Reese and Calverda Rose; and grandchildren, Jonathan Mayaka and Travis Wantwadi.The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Walter E. Jordan II officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery with full Military Honors being performed by RC Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
