Merle Henry Morrow

Merle Henry Morrow, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home, surrounded by his family. He was 79.He was born March 3, 1938 in Newark, Ohio to Arba and Marie Morrow. Merle was a truck driver for many years and after he retired, he worked part-time delivering car parts. Merle was very active with the Madison Rams football and basketball games as a ticket taker. He enjoyed every minute he got to spend with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Polly Morrow; his children, Susan (Bruce) Cook and Cyndi Murphy; grandchildren, Megan (Lee Woodhull) Morrow, Dylan Runion, Amanda (Keith) White, Nicole and Allyson Cook, and Crystal Murphy; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Kamrynn, Khloe, and Makenzie; and sister, Betty.Merle was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy, Mary Alice, and Bonnie; and brothers, Neal, Harold, Richard, Robert, and Junior.Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
