Nancy Ann (Patton) Sherban, 80, of Mansfield, passed Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home, following a lengthy illness.Nancy was born November 2, 1935 in Olive Hill, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Ulysses S. Grant and Draxie Patton. She loved the Lord and spending time with her family. Nancy enjoyed flowers, especially red roses and her cat, "Pretty Boy". She liked the color red, going shopping, butterflies, strawberries, dancing, and Elvis Presley. Nancy is survived by five children, Joyce (Jerry) Williams, Dianna Conn, Gary (Pat) Jacobs, Ronald (Bev) Sherban, and Rhonda (James) Henderson; twelve grandchildren, Joy, Misty, Leona, Nancy, Jason, Ronnie, Michelle, Gary, Terry, Brandon, Shawn, and Amber; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends including Lonnie Thompson, Rev. Al Spore, and Ilene Holsinger.Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her former husband, Toma Sherban; an infant daughter, Phylis Ann Jacobs, seven brothers, Frank Patton, Oscar Patton, James Patton, Blake Patton, Vinton Patton, Robert Patton, and Otis Patton; and two sisters, Janice Parker and Helen Frye.Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. A meal will be served at the funeral home following the burial.
