Ray Gauze, 52, of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.Ray was born on October 26, 1963, in Jackson, MI, to Claude R. and Shirley J. (Patrick) Gauze. He loved to spend time with his family, and he loved his grandchildren. Ray was known for his love of Halloween, made his own decorations, which seemed to multiply every year, and was a huge fan of the Detroit Redwings hockey team.On April 1, 1996, he married Diana (Hunt) Gauze, and she survives. Also surviving are four children, Joseph Ray Gauze of Plymouth, Ambur D. Gauze of AK, Shawnee Dakota Gauze of Mansfield, and Jessee James Wyitt Gauze of Plymouth; three grandchildren, Blake Gauze and Sibastian Gauze of Plymouth, and Isaiah Malachi Gauze of Mansfield; one sister, Robin (Pete) Scruton of MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Beverly Gauze.Calling hours will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield.
