Robert W Buzzard

Robert W. Buzzard, 72, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016, after a massive heart attack.Robert was born on June 23, 1944, in Sandusky, to Ernest L. and Ida I. (Lindenau) Buzzard. He married the love of his life, Vickie Lynn Swanger, on November 8, 1964 and they celebrated 51 ½ years of marriage. He retired from Manci after 27 years of service. He loved to spend time with his family and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a very compassionate and caring man. Robert loved the outdoors, including fishing and gardening, and enjoyed canning and making jelly. Along with his beloved wife, Vickie, he is survived by one daughter, Connie (James) Cox; one son, Phillip (Janice) Buzzard; two sisters, Marge Michalski of IN and Janet Canfield of Mansfield; one brother, Edward (Edith) Buzzard; and two half-brothers, Art (Becky) Bolding of CA and Paul Bolding of VA.He was preceded in death by his son, Robert E. Buzzard in 1987; his parents; two half-brothers, Gene and Jim Bolding; eight brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law.Calling hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Rob Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
