Sally F. Bushman

Sally G. Bushman, 90, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.Sally was born on August 29, 1927, to Solomon and Glenna Bushman. She was a teacher at Mifflin and Woodville Elementary Schools for over 37 years. Sally had many animals, which were like her children, and she loved them dearly. She enjoyed talking about them to anyone who would listen, and like the true storyteller that she was, many family and friends would hear her stories about her goats, ducks, rabbits, horses, cats, and dogs over the years. She was a straightforward person, who used her words well. Sally was also considered an amateur engineer, amateur veterinarian, and if you had something that ailed you, she could fix you up with supplements that actually worked. She is survived by her nephews and niece, Gary, Chuck, Mark, Mike and Karen; numerous other nephews and nieces; numerous adopted nephews and nieces; close neighbor, Marsha; and special helpers, Mikey and Cody.Sally was preceded in death by her parents; a step-brother, Chuck Bushman; and a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Janet Bushman.Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Mansfield Memorial Park, with Pastor Jean Coleman officiating. A Memorial service celebrating Sally's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 26 E. Maine St, Mifflin.
