Shelvia Tinkey Miller

Shelvia "Jean" Tinkey Miller, 73, of Ontario, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2013, following a brief illness. Jean was born on March 30, 1940, in Somerset, PA to Floyd W. and Maggie Sleasman Tinkey. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening and playing bingo. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by six children, Shirley (Greg) Wentz and LeRoy (Deborah) Miller both of Ontario and William R. (Traci) Miller, Daniel W. Miller, David L. (Sue) Miller, and Dennis E. Miller, all of Mansfield; five siblings, Ruby Ferner of Rockwood, PA, Sam Tinkey of Somerset, PA, Glen Tinkey of Jones Mills, PA, Shirley Miller of Somerset, PA, and Domer Tinkey of Fredericktown, OH; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debbie Miller; one son, Darrin S. Miller; one granddaughter, Kristen Layne; and eight siblings, Jerry Tinkey, John Tinkey, Robert Tinkey, Clyde Tinkey, Ruth Barron, an infant daughter, and infant twins. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
