Shirley F. (Duncan) Gruber

Shirley F. (Duncan) Gruber, 90, of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018.Shirley was born on February 24, 1928, in Detroit, MI, to William S. and Grace (Grant) Duncan. She loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Shirley loved to collect lighthouses and enjoyed crafting, especially needlepoint, crocheting, embroidery and sewing. She loved to travel and her favorite place to visit was the Amish country. She is survived by five grandchildren, Michelle, Jessica, Melissa, Chad, and Heather; eleven great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Margie Gruber of Mansfield; and her son, Jerry Gruber of Mansfield.Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Gruber; her loving son, Charles Gruber, who was her caretaker until his death; and two brothers, Clifford Duncan and Jack Duncan.Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH.
