Tony A. Yates

Tony A. Yates, 53, of Mansfield passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at OSU Medical Center. Tony was born June 25, 1961 in Alexandria, Virginia, the son of the late Bobby C. Yates and Carol J. (Rutherford) Profit. He was a retired employee of General Motors in Ontario and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and any kind of sports. He greatly loved by his children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all of them. Tony is survived by his three daughters, Amy Yates of Mansfield, Ashley Swanger of Lexington, and Alexa Harvey of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Akira, Arianna, Brayden, Addilyn, and Callie; his mother, Carol Profit of Pembroke, North Carolina; his girlfriend, Toni Ernest of Mansfield and her children, Starr Ernest and Gage Ernest; one sister, Donna (Lester) Dixon of Mansfield; one brother, Robert Yates of Mansfield; the mother of his daughters, Sandra Watts of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.Tony was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Yates; one brother, Jeffery Cline Yates; and one nephew, Chris Schinsky. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at the funeral home with Clarence Turner officiating. Burial will be in Lantz Cemetery.
