Virdie Lee Sullivan

Virdie Lee Sullivan, 88, of Mansfield, departed this earth on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 9:40 p.m.She was born on July 31, 1927 in Suwannee County, Florida. Virdie was an active member of Abundant Grace Fellowship Church.Heaven and earth celebrated this special event. Virdie lived her life with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated wife, committed mother, and a steadfast friend. Virdie was known for her dedicated service to others. She felt she was on the earth to bless and serve her family, her church, her many friends, and most of all her God. Her ability to put others first was a true gift from God.Virdie is survived by her children: Rebecca Springfield, Shelly S. Sullivan, Rhonda (Milton) Burton, J.V. (Carletta) Sullivan, and Rose Mary Sullivan. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Wilber Lee and Johnie Lee.Virdie was preceded in death by her husband, Junior F. Sullivan; three brothers, Barnie Lee, Hugh Lee, and Willard Lee; three sisters, Lois Dasher, Sinnie Koon, and Ardelia Hall; and her parents, Johnie and Florrie Touchstone Lee.Calling hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Abundant Grace Fellowship, 1080 West Longview Avenue, Mansfield.
