Walter Schlupp Obituary

Walter "Bud" Schlupp, 82, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 following a brief illness. Bud was born June 23, 1932 in Mansfield, the son of the late Walter F. and Viola M. (Young) Schlupp. On December 27, 1952, he married Betty J. (Kudika) Schlupp at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Bud attended St. Mary of the Snow in Mansfield. He was a retired greeter from Walmart and had worked for Mansfield Tire for over 20 years and for Tappan. Bud liked to watch Ohio sports and was a huge Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and working on his lawn and his fish pond. Along with his wife, Bud is survived by three children, Vickie Schlupp of Mansfield, Michael A. (Robin) Schlupp of Mansfield, and Mindy (Ron) Tarris of Grove City; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Shaffer, Heather Burton, and Taylor Schlupp; four great-grandchildren, Jake and Sophie Shaffer, Emily and Jackson Burton; and two brothers, Roger Schlupp and Gary Schlupp. Bud was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Melba Barber. Calling hours will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield with vigil services beginning at 7:30 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the funeral home with Father Jeremy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery.
