Wayne Erbse

Wayne Erbse, 96 years old, went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, November 20th, 2016 in Marietta, Georgia. He was born on January 2nd, 1920 in Marietta, Ohio to John and Stella Erbse. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Erbse, and sister, Glenda Estes and grandson, Adam Benton. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Wanda, daughters, Penny Benton, (husband, Marty Benton), and Randi Blevins, (husband, David Blevins), grandchildren, Drew Benton, Luke Benton, Lisa Benton Leeman, Bethany Hagerman, Rustin Blevins, and great grandchildren, Emma and Aven Benton, Arden Benton Leeman, Braxton, Cecelia and Celeste Hagerman. Wayne served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as an airplane mechanic. Wayne loved his family and will be sadly missed.Funeral services will be held at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430 E.), Mansfield on Monday, November 28th, 2016. Calling hours will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral services starting at 2:00 p.m. Wayne's son-in-law, Pastor Marty Benton will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Mansfield Cemetery.
