Pauline (Whitley) Gasparac, 93, of Shelby, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
Pauline was born May 16, 1930, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to Willtom and Mary (Risner) Whitley. She was married to the love of her life, Claude Gasparac, for 73 years, until his passing on November 20, 2022. Pauline dedicated her life to being a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She especially enjoyed being a great-great grandma. She was known for her cooking and especially chicken and dumplings. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning her home-grown fruits and vegetables. Pauline loved the Lord and was a member of Messiah House of Prayer in Shiloh, Ohio. Pauline always enjoyed her farm animals, especially her chickens. Pauline loved baking and made the best chocolate fudge and apple cake around. She loved dining out and cruising around with her daughter in her golf cart.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Darlene Gasparac (Brian Johnson); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and special grandchildren, Terri “Tweety” Stidam, Joey Haney, Kelly Reichardt, and Austen Reichardt.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Claude Gasparac; son, Charles “Chuck” Gasparac; daughter, Joanne Dodds; and 15 siblings.
Private graveside services were held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh.
Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is handling the arrangements.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
