Werner Funeral Services was started on Ashland Road in April, 1997. Ronda Vondriska (formerly Werner), one of the owners, moved the location to Third Street, as their business expanded. In 2010, Gene Gompf from Gompf Funeral Services in Cardington became a business partner, and the funeral home became Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, Ltd, moving to the current location of 1106 Park Ave. East (St. Rt. 430), Mansfield.

Ronda Vondriska, Licensed Funeral Director & Social Worker
Ronda Vondriska (formerly Werner) is the manager of Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Religion in 1985 at Capital University. Ronda is a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Funeral Director.
Ronda is the mother of three children (Joshua, Rosa, & Jonny) and a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple. Her passions include church activities, spending time with her family, reading, sewing, swimming, and riding her horses.
Gene L. Gompf, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Gene L. Gompf completed his education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1985. After serving his apprenticeship under his father, Robert Gompf, he received his license for funeral director and embalmer in May 1986.
Gene is active in his community. He is the dedicated father of five very active children and three grandchildren.
Bruce Phipps, Funeral Assistant
Bruce graduated from Lexington High School in 1965. He is a veteran of the United States Army serving his country from 1969-1971. He was employed with Keybank for 38 years and joined our firm in 2006. Bruce married to Margie Phipps and both are members at St. Peters Lutheran Church.
Donna Garcia, Secretary
Donna earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Pensacola Christian College. Donna and her husband, John, share a love for God and a genuine concern for others. They are active members of Mansfield Baptist Temple.
Donna has worked in an office setting for many years. She enjoys the challenges that go along with preparing for a funeral. Her past experiences have prepared her to warmly interact with families.
