Stanley F. Smith

Stanley F. Smith, 89, of Mansfield, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 19, 2019.

Stanley was born on April 4, 1930, in Beavercreek, PA, to George W. and Hazel (Osborne) Smith.  He was a member of Christian Life Church.  Stanley enjoyed race cars, horseshoe pitching, and bingo.

He is survived by his children, Rosetta (Denny) Drushel of Polk, Danny (Leona) Smith of Lucas, Jeff (Barb Dunham) Smith of Galion, Donna (Bill) Heminger of Bellville, and Richard (Lisa) Smith of Fredericktown; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Raymond Smith of Georgia and Cecil Smith of Lancaster.

Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Smith; daughter, Lois Hale, grandson, Jarrod Baden; parents, George and Hazel Smith; and six siblings.

Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield.  Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Troy Wooten officiating.  Burial will be in Lantz Cemetery at a later date.
