Anna Ruth Elders

Anna Ruth Elders, 75, of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2019 after a long illness. Anna was born in Mansfield, Ohio on April 26, 1944, to Selbert and Bessie (Smith) Knipp. She attended Paradise FWB Church. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn A. Harper; grandsons, Kyle R. Penhorwood and Dylan P. Harper (Darian Smothers); great-grandsons, Charlie, Keegan and Kooper; sisters-in-law, Helen Knipp, Linda Sue Knipp-Mollett, Sue Howard, and Betty Sheldon; brother-in-law, Sonny (Charlotte) Elders; special nieces, Patty Litteral, Cathy Baker, Jeannie Sutter, and many other dear nieces and nephews; best friends, Sone and Otis Porter and Cindy Atherton; special caregiver, Lisa Carnes; and her little dog, Nika. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" A. Elders; her parents; brothers, Wally "Ersel" R. (Nellie) Knipp, Lawrence "Junior" (Cleo) Knipp, David Roger Knipp, Sr., and Alfred "Alfie" F. Knipp; sisters, Helen Norma Jean (Charles) Artrip and Rosie Kathleen Knipp. Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
