Bernard C. Frederick

Bernard C. Frederick, 86, of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, following a lengthy illness.Bernard was born on November 11, 1930, in Lloydsburg, PA, to Irvin and Alma (Keithman) Frederick. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He went to college for electrical engineering and retired in 1991 from United Telephone as a supervisor. He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending family reunions, and traveling.He is survived by his wife, Esther (Otto) Frederick; five children, Debra Lamp, James Frederick, Sam (Andrea) Frederick, Nancy Geesaman, and Brenda (Tim) Kinkaid; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Jean Zigler, Laura Longstretch, LaDonna Harris, and Donna Hersh.He was preceded in death by his parents; stillborn daughter, Joann Frederick; and four siblings, Paul Frederick, Jess Frederick, Lillian Csato, and Betty Frederick.Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Franklin Cemetery with full military honors performed by Richland Co. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
