Bonni Gail Remy

Bonni Gail Remy, 67, passed away at home on January 25th 2019 after a courageous battle with Brain Cancer surrounded by her two best friends, her husband & youngest daughter. She was born January 26th 1951 in Rockford, Illinois to the late Richard & Phoebe Odson. She was married to Robert Remy in 1990 with whom she spent 28 wonderful years. Bonni is survived by her sister, Beth (Barry); daughters, Carri (Aaron) Stephens, Heather Hipsher, and Summer Mahan. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Joan Remy; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces/nephews/cousins; a son by another mother, Christopher McWilliams; and a special family friend, Summer Brightbill. Bonni was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Billy Remy; a sister, Barbara Hagerman; brother, Richard Odson; and sister-in-law, Cathy Schwan.Bonni started her work career at an early age and took pride in each job she has ever had. She worked at Reed's and Kohl's for many years where she met lifelong friends. Prior to retiring she worked as an Inventory Control Specialist traveling the country with her husband.Bonni lived by the motto "Live, Laugh, Love" thus surrounding herself with family and friends every holiday or special occasion. She enjoyed camping and riding the motorcycle with her husband as well as cheering on her Cleveland Indians. Music was always a big part of her life as she could be heard singing while completing any daily activity. Her yearly "Camp Grandma Bonni" will always remain a special memory for her grandchildren. Bonni will be lovingly remembered as a feisty soul who was loved by all who met her. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. She requested casual dress and please join us in wearing your Cleveland Indians gear as she will be in hers!
