Clayton Dale Lawhorn

Clayton D. Lawhorn Sr, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.Clayton was born on April 23.1935, in Olive Hill, KY, to Perry J. and Margaret (Bare) Lawhorn. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. He was a member of Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church. Clayton enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling with family, and singing. He held many revivals in his travels. He was devoted to his family.He was survived by his children, Betty (Lovell) Stallard of Florida, Clayton (Patti) Lawhorn Jr of Grayson, KY, Adam (Joyce France) Lawhorn of Fort Gay, WV, Amy Valentine of Mansfield, and Hope Lawhorn of Willard; thirteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.Along with his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel (Smith) Lawhorn; son, Gregory Brett Lawhorn; and brothers, Marion Lawhorn, Chester Lawhorn, and Arthur Lawhorn.Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church, 404 Dean Road, Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor C. Earl Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery, with full Military Honors performed by the R.C. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
