Larry Paul Shaum

Larry P. Shaum, 66, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019. Larry was born on March 24, 1953, in Mansfield, to Ray T. and Donna D. (Baney) Shaum. He loved his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life and his heart. He attended all of their sporting events and school functions. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, family vacations, and horsing around on his tractor. He married Phyllis (Mabry) Shaum on July 20, 1974, and she survives. Along with his wife Phyllis, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Bruce Dingus; son and daughter-in-law, Jarrod and Andrea Shaum; grandchildren, Robby Dingus, Collin Dingus, Aidan Dingus, Tristan Dingus, and Bre Shaum; brother Stanley Shaum (Paula Ostheimer), mother-in-law, Magdalene Smith; brother-in-law Jim (Regina) Mabry; Jim and Regina's son, Chance (Robyn) Mabry and grandchildren, Chandler and Owen; Jim and Regina's son Cody (Heather) Mabry; and Jim and Regina's daughter Sairah and two grandchildren, Jada and Tyson; and Larry's nieces and nephew, Kim (Mark) Bowman and their daughters, Chloe and Sophie, Shelly Shaum and sons Jessie and Brandon, and Tim (Christy) Shaum and their children, Brittany and Greg and extended family; many close friends; and his two canine "girls" Carabella and Xena. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, PFC Ray Thomas Shaum Jr, killed in action in Vietnam and sister, Gloria Shaum. A Life Celebration will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019, at the Redding Building at Richland Rural Life Center, 969 Crall Rd, Mansfield.
