Matthew D. Ball

Matthew D. Ball, 28, of Shiloh, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 28, 2017.Matthew was born on June 18, 1989, in Shelby, to Chester and Rebecca (Lewis) Ball. He loved his family dearly. Matthew enjoyed hunting, woodworking, painting, drawing, trapshooting, and fishing. He was an Allstar baseball player in high school, and also enjoyed cross country and lifting weights.Along with his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Kayla Oney; two children, Wyatt Matthew Ball of Shelby and Zoie Renea Ball of Mansfield; two brothers, Michael (April) Ball of Plymouth and Bradley (Savannah) Ball of Willard; two nephews and one niece, Easton Arthur Ball, Cambree Rian Ball, and Coleson Joseph Ball; numerous cousins, friends, aunts, and uncles, including special aunt, Francene Porter and special uncle, Frank Ball.Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Martha Ball; and maternal grandparents, Douglas and Chloie Lewis.Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Hill, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Presbyterian Revolutionary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with burial expenses.
