Richard D. Starks

Richard D. Starks, 75, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018.Richard was born March 16, 1943 in Mansfield to Donis and Gladys (Amstutz) Starks. He was a captain in the United States Marine Corps. Richard was involved with his church and enjoyed flea markets and shopping. He loved country music and slow-dancing. He enjoyed car shows and especially loved Ford Mustangs. He is survived by his wife, Carol Starks; daughter, Trish (Ron) Erxleben; step-children, Cherie (Scott Stair) McGraw, Clyde Brook, and Lynn Brook; sister, Jeri Freeman; grandchildren, Lena Erxleben; step-grandchildren, Kelly (Gary) Civay and Jennifer Brook; step-great-grandchildren, Brennan Civay and Trinity Civay; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Starks; step-daughter, Karen Brooks; brother, Ron Starks; and nephews, Tom and Kenny.Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Vance of Crossroads Community Church officiating.
