Rita A Studer

Rita A. (Heydinger) Studer, 97, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.Rita was born on June 12, 1920, in Auburn Twp, OH, to August and Mary M. (Wechter) Heydinger. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Snows Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed playing cards, dominos, bingo, going to the casinos, listening to Daniel O'Donnell, and watching EWTN. She enjoyed several trips to Branson, MO. She is survived by seven children, Dave (Donna) Studer of Howard, Judy (Frank) Strickling of Ashland, Mary Jane (Dave) Roberts of Bucyrus, Tim (Janey) Studer of Ashland, Chris (Lynn) Studer of Mansfield, Doug (Sandy) Studer of Greenback, TN, and Lori (Jim) Davis of Crossville, TN; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Rita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Paul Studer; and eight siblings, Geneva, Sister Bernadine, Raymond "Bunks", Helen, Sylvester, Nick, Herbert "Whitey", and Frank.Calling hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018, at St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church, 1630 Ashland Road, Mansfield, OH, 44905.Memorial contributions may be made in care of St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church.
