Adam H. Moore, age 94 of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Country Meadow Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born on April 6, 1931, in Center Township, Pennsylvania, to the late William H. and Mary E. (Ewing) Moore.
Adam proudly served his country in the United States Army, and he went on to work as a welder for Tappan Corporation for 30 years. He was a member of Diamond Hill Cathedral, where he ushered and worked the Bible Walk. He was a jack of all trades, and he enjoyed tinkering, hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. In his younger years, he loved his family’s yearly vacations to visit his parents and extended family in Florida and Pennsylvania, and in adulthood, he learned to treasure the time spent with his own children and family. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons Adam T. Moore and Michael H. (Darlene Kodger) Moore; his first wife and mother of his children Miriam (Emerson) Moore; his sister Arlene (Bill) Jordan; his brother Johnny (Linda) Moore; his grandchildren Ryan (Jennifer Morris) Moore and Amber (Arick Lee) Duffey; and his great-grandchildren Payson Moore, Bryden Moore, Thatcher Moore, Avarie Duffey, Anakin Duffey, and Alistair Duffey. Also surviving are his stepchildren Ted, Donna, and Terry Ryland and numerous step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Kathy (Harsh) Moore; his daughter Marcia Pilo; his siblings Lloyd Moore, Ruth Mabry, Dorothy Taylor, and Carol Ann Dilts; and his parents William and Mary Moore.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Diamond Hills Cathedral, and a private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
