Arlie "Big O" Shaw Burns, Sr.

Arlie “Big O” Shaw Burns, Sr., 73, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Arlie was born January 16, 1949, in Memphis, TN, to Henderson and Rosie (Shaw) Burns. He loved listening to music, fishing, smoking weed, and holding court on “B” block.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Harriger) Burns; children, Sharhonda Burns, Arlie Burns, Jr., Natasha Burns, and Donovan Burns; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Brenda Coleman and Richard Gillum.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert Burns and Walter Burns.

A celebration of life will be held September 3, 2022, 12 PM till 8 PM on the street where “Big O” held court on the ”B” block, Buffalo Street.
