Barbara A. (Smith) Lawrence

Barbara A. Lawrence, 80, of Huron, Ohio, and previously from Mansfield, went to be with Jesus on Saturday morning, April 2, 2022, at Admiral’s Pointe, Huron, Ohio.

Barbara was born on December 22, 1941, in Standish, Michigan, to Ezra A. and Margaret E. (Mulehman) Smith. She lived in Bucyrus, and later moved to Mansfield, where she resided most of her life.  She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Barbara loved to crochet baby blankets, do word searches, and play games on her tablet.

She is survived by her children: son, Ervin (Rika) Lawrence Jr. of  Zama, Kanagawa, Japan, and their children, Natasha, Julia, and Christopher also of Japan; son, Rex (Susan) Lawrence Sr. of Bucyrus and their children, Kimberly (Chris) Sutter, Jennifer (Jacob) Howell, and Rex (Ashley) Lawrence Jr.; daughter, Margaret Lawrence of Upper Sandusky; daughter, April (Brad) Kerber of Milan and their children, Stacy (Adam) Flinders and Danielle (Rello) Carpenter; son, Doug (Tiffany Fox) Lawrence of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, his son, Doug Lawrence of Missouri and his step-daughters, Payton and Sara Weddington; daughter, Lydia (Dewayne Sheller) Parson of Norwalk and her children, Brittanny Smith and David Smith II; 22 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Julie (William) Sutake of Crestline and Christine (Phil) Orcena of Marion.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Ervin Lawrence Sr.; daughter, Jennifer Lawrence; and grandson, Dustin Soals.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 424 S. Main Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Randy Raines officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
