Benjamin F. Lowe, 86, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Benjamin was born on October 19, 1937, in Bluestone, Kentucky, to Glenn O. and Lottie E. (Knipp) Lowe. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, during the Korean War. Benjamin married Janet Kimble on May 5, 1962. He loved his family and was a very giving man, always willing to help others. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and participated in a bowling league. He was also on the Auxiliary of the Mansfield Police Department for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Lowe; son, Ed Lowe; and one great-granddaughter, Abrianna Bays.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Ben Lowe and Angie Bayes; and siblings, Ernie Lowe, Bill Lowe, Gene Lowe, Luther Lowe, Marscella Carrol, Opal McClurg, Mellie Williams, and infant sister, Francis Eileen Lowe.
Calling hours will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, with full military honors performed at 2:00 p.m. by the Richland Co. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
