Bessie Jane Qualls, 62, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, due to a long illness.
Bessie was born June 9, 1962, in Mansfield, Ohio to Roger and Grace Qualls. Bessie loved her family with all her heart. Her grandchildren were always her main subject. She loved watching her Christian channels and praying with whomever crossed her path. She loved doing crafts with her grandchildren. Bessie was known for always having the last word on everything and she always worried about the needs of everyone else but herself.
Bessie is survived by her daughter, Jasma (Greg) Schoonyan; her sons, Nick Freeman and Zach (Kim) Freeman; her grandchildren, Shyanna, Corwin, Khloe, Elayna, and Kaiden; her great-grandson, Hudsyn; her brother, Glen; and her sisters, Linda, Deloris, and Debbie.
Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Grace Qualls; her soulmate, Elmon Freeman; and her brother, Roger Sammons.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, in Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
