Betty Lou Baughman, 87, of Mansfield, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
Betty was born on January 29, 1934, to the late Luther and Lindy Parrigan in Clincho, Virginia. She married the love of her life, the late Dwight Baughman on October 17, 1957. Betty and Dwight went on to have two daughters and shared 40 wonderful years together until his passing in 1997.
Betty delighted in her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for traveling and made sure to include her family in many adventures. Trips to Marblehead, Niagara Falls, and several beach vacations were just some of her favorites.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers; Oscar Parrigan and Carrol Parrigan; and two sisters; Evelyn Mullins and Bonnie Brooks.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Tammy Le Rafeld (Randy) of Ashland, OH and Lisa Ann Stevens (Larry) of Lancaster, OH; five grandchildren, Matthew Rafeld (Lauren) of Ashland, OH, Alicia Robson (Brent) of Galena, OH, Christopher Rafeld (Valerie) of Oklahoma City, OK, Adam Stevens of Merritt Island, FL, and Rachel Briggs (Evan) of Ashland, OH who all cherished their ‘Mamaw’ dearly; and 15 great-grandchildren who affectionately called her ‘Mamaw the Great’ and ‘Nana’.
Visitation will be held at Werner-Gompf Funeral Home, 1106 Park Ave E, Mansfield on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. A memorial service will follow immediately afterward with Christopher Rafeld and Tim Stout officiating. A graveside service will be held at Nashville United Methodist Church, 208 W Church Lane St., Nashville, OH on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
