Betty Joyce (Monk) Rose

Betty Joyce (Monk) Rose, 73, of Crestline, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021.

Betty was born on July 21, 1947, in Honaker, VA., to Okley and Beulah (Cox) Monk. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a co-pastor with her husband at the Hope on a Hill Chapel.  Her husband and her were officers for the Road Riders for Jesus, Chapter 79, of Galion, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Rose; children, Treasia (Charles) Gordon, Terina (Michael) Wagoner, Jessica (James) Branham, and Kimberly (Cecil) Horton; brother, Donald (Phylis) Monk; grandchildren, Christian (Kameron) Landin, Kirsten Wagoner, Dalton Wagoner, Cheyenne Branham, Wyatt Branham, Makayla Horton, Liam Horton, Charlie Gordon IV, and Corey VanBuren;  great-grandchildren, Jacob Gordon, Charles Gordon V., Katelyn Gordon, Xavier Gordon, Victor Gordon, Sapphira VanBuren, and Averi VanBuren; and numerous nieces and nephews including Donald Monk Jr., whom she raised like a son.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Fay Monk and Loretta Hurley.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021at Hope on the Hill Chapel, 2535 State Rte. 598, Crestline, Ohio 44827.  The Celebration service will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the church.
