Betty Jean (Carroll) Roy

Betty Jean Roy, 85, of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Betty was born November 24, 1937, in Grahn, KY, to Alfred and Ruby (Morris) Carroll. She enjoyed reading and Ohio State Football. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her daughters; Betty Nichols, Wilma Scott, and Mary Parnell; sisters, Sue (Wallen) Risner and Eunice Wilburn; grandchildren, Roger Nichols, Joey (Amanda) Nichols, Sarah (Phillip) Ross, Tammy Gibson, Deanna Lemaster, David Parnell, Ruby Parnell, William Nichols, Jr., and Ronnie Nichols; twenty-one great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy; son, William Nichols, Sr.; granddaughter, Ashley Nichols; grandson, Brian Nichols; and six siblings.

Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with her grandson, Pastor Joe Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
