Burl J. "Jeff" Cogar, 56, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 5, 2019.Jeff was born on December 23, 1962 in Mansfield, to Brad Cogar and Audrey Fultz. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, being outdoors, watching ghost hunter shows, and telling stories. Along with his parents, Brad Cogar and Audrey Fultz, both of Indiana, he is survived by his special friend, Mary Carter; his children, David Smithberger, Larry Coulter, Michael Bond, Misty Bond, and Marvin Bond; two foster daughters, Amanda Bond and April Edwards; twenty-two grandchildren; and siblings, Bruce Cogar, Mary Rush, and Robbie Blevins.Jeff was preceded in death by an infant son; great-niece, Victoria Vliet; sister, Connie Tringes; paternal grandparents, Adam Ross Cogar and Cordie Cogar; and maternal grandparents, Garth Searles and Betty OswaltCalling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield.
