Carolyn K. (Thompson) Bassin

Carolyn K. Bassin, 73, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024.

Carolyn was born April 11, 1951, in Grahn, Kentucky, to Clyde and Audrey N. (Payner) Thompson. She married Allen Bassin on August 29, 1969. Carolyn loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, excellent cook, and enjoyed her flower garden.

Along with her husband, Allen, she is survived by her daughters, Shelly Christo of West Virginia and Lori (David) Hofsaess of Mansfield; grandchildren, Tony (Beth) Christo, Matthew Christo, William (Faith) Fitch, Davey Hofsaess, and Kaytlin (Gage) Hofsaess; great-grandchildren, Phyllip, Maycee, Hyde, and Robbie; and siblings, Pat (Elgin) Lawhorn of Piketon, Ohio, Mike Thompson of Florida, Evelyn (Larry) Bassin of Mansfield, Vanessa (Gary) Finerty of Bellville, and Randy Thompson of Waverly.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

Services are not planned at this time.
