Carolyn J. (Davis) Sims

Carolyn J. (Davis) Sims, 71, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Carolyn was born on September 16, 1953, in Mansfield, to C. Wayne and Erma (Barker) Davis. Carolyn loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, which was her main focus in life. She was always helping others and being there for her family.  She also enjoyed bingo and reading.

She is survived by her children, Wendy (Jay) Wilson of Mansfield, twins Brian (Leshell) Sims Jr of Shiloh and Diane (Nick) Traxler of Mansfield, Jacob (Tiffeny) Sims of Mansfield, and Billy (Jessica) Sims of Blythewood, South Carolina; sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Davis and friend Shelia Fowler of Mansfield, and Gary (Julie) Davis of Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Bonnie Mitchell and Sondra Kash.

Calling hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Pelfrey officiating.
