Catherine J. (Foulks) Fackler

Catherine J. (Foulks) Fackler, 69, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Catherine was born on July 15, 1954, in Mansfield, to Walter Foulks Sr. and Loretta (Sperzel) Foulks. She ran her own daycare for many years. Catherine was married to Tom Fackler for 34 years until his passing in 2011. She was very feisty and enjoyed life. Catherine was the very description of hospitality and over the years, she welcomed many people into her home, providing a warm bed and feeding them food with her fantastic cooking skills. She loved to do yardwork, especially her flower bed, and was very skilled with crafts.  She also enjoyed puzzles in her later years. Anyone who knew Catherine, knew that she loved Elvis Presley and tigers. 

She is survived by her children, Tom (Roxanna) Fackler and Patricia (Robert) Fackler-Lemon, both of Mansfield; grandchildren, Salena Fackler, Serenity Harrington, Destiny Knapp, Alisha Westlake, Braxton Lemon, and Nadia Lemon; siblings, Charlotte Smith of Ontario, Walter “Kenny” (Cheryl) Foulks Jr, of Mansfield, Brian Foulks of Mansfield, and Robert (Jean) Foulks of Doylestown; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Mark Ellis, who shared his love of Elvis with her.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Fackler; her parents, Walter Sr. and Loretta Foulks; her daughter, Loretta Kay Hazlett; and uncle, John Sperzel.             

Calling hours will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Micah Pelkey officiating.
