Chad Aaron Bassin

Chad Aaron Bassin, 38, of Mansfield, passed at his home unexpectedly on November 22, 2020. 

Chad was born on January 18, 1982, in Mansfield, Ohio, where he resided all of his life. 

He is survived by his parents, Larry D. Bassin and Evelyn (Thompson) Bassin; a sister, Heather Ann Lacey and a brother, Evan Bassin, both of Mansfield, Ohio; four nieces, Marissa, Melissa, Megan, and Morgan; and various great-nieces and great-nephews all of Mansfield, Ohio.

Chad enjoyed spending time with family and friends that included a favorite uncle, William Bo Moore.  His hobbies were playing the guitar, keyboard, and singing.  He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone without ever expecting anything in return. He genuinely cared about others and his great sense of humor could brighten anyone’s day. 

Chad was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joseph C. Bassin and Rebecca K. Tringes; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Nell Thompson; brother-in-law, Timothy W. Pennington; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will celebrate Chad’s incredible life, at a later date.
