Cleo F. (Faler) McCombs Taylor, 70, of Mansfield and formerly of Logan, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at OH Mansfield.
Cleo was born on July 21, 1950, in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, Canada, and raised in Jackson, Ohio, to Frances A. Faler and Viola (Morris) Faler French.
Cleo graduated from Jackson High School in 1969. She was proud of her dual citizenship with Canada, and she was always up to a challenge and could master just about anything she set out to do. She studied cosmetology at the Columbus Cosmetology College and was an accomplished hair stylist, well-known in the Logan, Ohio area as one of the best. She also received her 2 year Associates Degree in Nutrition from Hocking Hills College. Later in life, she decided she wanted to be a truck driver and received her CDL and drove cross country! She was also an accomplished quilter who had a perfect stitch, and was known for her beautiful cakes she decorated. For many years, she was a Girl Scout Leader. Cleo was a 30 year breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by her son, Paul McCombs of Logan; sister, Sheila K. (Chuck) Price of Mansfield; step-sister, Glennis Dailey; special niece, Jessika Price of Mansfield; special nephews, Andrew Price of Mansfield and Greg Price of Galion; life-long friends, Brenda Leach and Helen Graham both of Jackson, Ohio; former husband, Jimmie Taylor of NC; father-in-law, James (Joan) Taylor of NC; and brother-in-law, Terry (Pam) Taylor of NC.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David A. Faler and Gerald M. Faler; and half-sister, Vivian French.
Private services will be observed by the family.
Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is handling the arrangements.
