Clyde Mollett

Clyde Mollett, 71, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday evening, January 12, 2016, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. Clyde was born April 6, 1944, in Inez, Kentucky and was the son of the late Lacy and Gertrude (Maynard) Mollett. He was a certified electrician and was employed at Empire Detroit Steel for many years. Clyde loved to fish and hunt; and appreciated the beauty of wildflowers, squirrels, and birds free in nature. Clyde's passion for the Lord was evident in his everyday life. Clyde is survived by his wife, Sue Mollett; three daughters, Joann Murphy of Mansfield, Irma (Rod) Lyons, and Melissa (Roger) Harmon, both of Ashland; son, Lester Murphy of Ashland; five step-children, Robbie (JoAnna) Carroll of Michigan, Cathy Turner (Mike Mosier) of Mansfield, David (Tammy) Knipp of Mansfield, Jeannie (Rick) Sutter of Greenwich, and Johnny (Mary) Knipp of Crestline; thirty grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ima Jean Meadows; four brothers, Lonnie, Wayne, Henry, and Claude Mollett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Glenda Mollett; one great-granddaughter, Athena Mae Gillium; and two sisters, Rosella and Rosetta Mollett. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 and 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the funeral home, with Pastor Ronnie Conn officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
