Clyde A Salyer

Clyde A. Salyer, 76, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018.Clyde was born on May 30, 1941, in Shelby, to Sherman and Dora (Remy) Salyers. He was a member of Promise Land Fellowship, and loved to go to church. He also loved to read his Bible and play his music. He enjoyed when his sister, Pauline delivered him her homemade spaghetti. He loved to have his family visit him.He is survived by four children, Rebecca Prestwich, Barbara Salyer Satterwhite, Tammy Cruz, and Andy Salyer; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Earl Salyers, Edward Lee (Sue) Salyers, and Pauline (Donald) Heidecker; many nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Helen Lorene Wrobel.Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings, Arnold "Jr", Dorothy, Blanche, Christine, and Ruth.Calling hours will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Wiseman officiating. Burial will be at Springmill Cemetery.
