Born on October 28, 1935 in Galion, Ohio, Dean spent his entire life in North Central Ohio. He worked his entire career from college until the age of 80 in sales and management in the trucking industry.  Over the course of his career, Dean developed friendships with coworkers and customers at All State, PIE, Mansfield Plumbing Products, and Cowen Trucking.  Dean particularly enjoyed his time working at his last stint with Tim Cowen and the crew at Cowen Trucking.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Jo Ann; parents, Ray and Frona Manross; and his sister, Verlita Rourke.

A very special thank you to the wonderful neighbors over the past 50 years who were always there to help Dean and Jo Ann: The Wallaces - Gene, Jimmy, Kay, Eric, Michelle, Rylan and Ethan; The Bakers - Scott and Shari; The Zimmers; and Ed and Carol Hardin. Your love, support, prayers, food and friendship has been a comfort over the years. Dean would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
