Dennis Paramore, age 83 of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born on March 26, 1942, in Mansfield to the late Gerald “Jack” Paramore and Betty (Backenstow) Ditwiler, and on September 9, 1971, he married the love of his life, Marilyn F. (Barrows).
Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and he went on to work for NAPA Auto Parts for 40 years, from 1972 to 2012. He was a big car guy and skilled motor man. He owned racecars and participated in dirt track racing for 25 years, and he built his fair share of motors during his lifetime. He attended many, many car shows with his wife, and he also enjoyed attending NASCAR races and watching sporting events with his family.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Paramore; his children Kim (Ruey) Tackett, Dennis (Lisa) France, Nick (Chris) France, and Tamara (Andy) Pfeiffer; his siblings Mary Lowe, Alfred (Patty) Lomax, and Carol Tridico; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his son Mike Marshall and his parents Jack and Betty.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Mel Schroeder officiating. Inurnment will take place at Mansfield Cemetery at a later date.
